Commercial Kitchens and Concrete Floors

Although Goodwin-Lasiter-Strong is the name that many know today, our company was originally established in 1983 as Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc. In 2001, we partnered with Scott & Strong, an architectural and interior design firm with an outstanding history of modern and artistic performance. Although we are passionate about our current and recently completed projects, we like to feature previous work to highlight individual members of our GLS team. One project in particular, Hudson I.S.D's High School Cafeteria, was designed in part by our very own Vice-President of Architecture, Mark Strong, AIA, RID.

Having outgrown their existing facility, Hudson I.S.D. commissioned Scott and Strong to design a new cafeteria with the needs of high school students in mind. This new facility was designed around a food court theme with 4 distinct serving areas offering a wide variety of food items from full course lunches to pizza and burgers. The dining area was designed to compete with any restaurant, having stained concrete floors and graphics, booths, flat screen TV's, and pendant lighting. The commercial kitchen contains all new, state-of-the-art equipment and was designed with ease of flow and convenience in mind. The result is a place where students gather for an enjoyable dining experience.
