Addition to Board of Directors: Courtney Renee Kelly
Last month our team celebrated a new addition to our Board of Directors: Courtney Renee Kelly. As a member of the Board, Mrs. Kelly represents our company as a whole through her values, work ethic and dedication to our clients and their projects. We are proud to announce her as the 8th member of our Board. Mrs. Kelly's commitment to our team and focus on the overall wellbeing of our staff members will be an asset in making decisions for the future direction of our company.
Mrs. Kelly graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in December of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Prior to graduation, she interned with Scott and Strong (now part of Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc.) in the summer of 2003 and continued to work part-time during her final semester. Upon graduation, she accepted a full-time position with our architecture team in Lufkin, Texas as an Architectural Designer.
In 2004, she moved to College Station, Texas and worked in our expanding Bryan office. While there, she worked with both our surveying and civil engineering departments as a drafter. Deciding to pursue an Architecture degree in 2006, she graduated with a Masters of Architecture from Texas A&M University in 2009. Upon graduation, she transitioned to the position of Architect Intern, and continued working in our architecture department in Bryan, Texas until transferring back to our Lufkin office. In 2017, Mrs. Kelly became a Licensed Texas Architect and has held the title of Project Architect ever since.
"I have worked with Courtney for over 15 years, and this achievement is well deserved. No matter what position held, she has always gone above and beyond to provide the best service for our clients. Not to mention her cheerful spirit and love for what she does is evident in every responsibility she takes on." - John Rusk, P.E.
"Courtney has been awesome to work with over the years. She is always full of joy, working diligently to move a project forward and go above and beyond client expectation. When you have Courtney on your team for a project, you know that the client is going to love the final product because of her attention to detail. I am excited to see where our company will be in the next few years with Courtney on the Board." - Jennifer Sitton, R.I.D.
"It's great to have Courtney as our newest member of the Board. She brings many years of experience and professionalism and will be a great asset. Her insights and perspective will be invaluable to the Board and GLS, and we look forward to working with her for many years to come." - Mark V. Strong, AIA
